Brought to you by the Bookstore and the Student Government Association, Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC) students can now list their used textbooks online to swap or exchange with other students.

Moraine Valley Community College is not responsible for any misconduct that occurs during the swapping of textbooks listed on this website. Please use caution and common sense when using this service. Moraine Valley Community College has not investigated, nor can we investigate or guarantee any user’s purported identity, criminal record, etc. By using this site, you agree to accept all such risks and Moraine Valley Community College shall not be responsible for the acts or omissions by you or other users on the site. Your decision to participate in the textbook swap is at your sole risk, and Moraine Valley Community College assumes no liability or responsibility for any harm, injury, damage or loss you may suffer as a result of using the site. It is your responsibility to contact, interview, research, select and make arrangements with persons using this site to your own satisfaction and to address legal and safety issues involved in any such arrangements that may be made.

Stolen books are not to be swapped on this website. You can tell that a book has been stolen from the MVCC or another public library if the binding or pages are stamped. Please look carefully at the textbook before agreeing to a swap.

If a crime occurred on campus, please contact the Moraine Valley Police Department at (708) 974-5555. If a crime occurred off-campus, please contact your local police department.

Moraine Valley will not regularly monitor the textbook listings, but the college will take down any suspicious postings or postings from individuals who do not register with a Moraine Valley Community College student email address. Postings and emails to students using this service are subject to the Moraine Valley Community College Code of Student Conduct.

1. If you are looking for a book, simply type in the ISBN number of the desired textbook in the field below.
2. Click SEARCH.
3. If another student has listed that textbook for swap, it will appear on the next page.
4. Review the conditions of the book and any notes that book lister has posted. If you would like to get that book, click CONTACT STUDENT
5. An email will be sent to the student, and the student will respond via email.
6. The conditions of your swap or exchange will be entirely determined by you and the other student.

1. To list a textbook for swap or exchange, create an account or log in using your Moraine Valley Community College student email address. You may not use a personal email address to register for this service.
2. Once you have created an account or have logged into the bookstore website, you can list your book by entering the ISBN.
3. If the ISBN is entered correctly for a textbook that Moraine Valley Community College uses, it should appear. If not, you will need to put in the details about the book.
4. Click Submit to list your textbook for trade or exchange.
5. REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR MVCC EMAIL. If another student wants to swap for your book, you will receive an email. As the lister, you are responsible for responding to those requests.
6. After you have swapped your textbook, you must return to the website to take down your listing. When you log in to your account, you will see your active inventory of book listings. All listings are deleted after 30 days from the start of the semester.
